Call me a cozy convert

When this cardigan style became popular recently, I thought it was okay, but I didn't think it was "me". Then I watched the DKNY video "12 ways to wear a cozy" and I was hooked. Moreover, Adriana, Sigrid, Erica, and Tany are all sporting this look, so you know it's hot!

Fabric
Vera Wang Lavender Label poly/lycra jersey from Fabric.com. The grey color is no longer available, but this fabric has the perfect drapiness for this garment.

Notes on construction/alterations
I made a size small, and followed the envelope instructions with two exceptions: (1) I stitched the outermost edge of the CB collar to the back neckline seam to avoid exposing the elastic, and (2) I left the edges raw since the fabric doesn't fray both are just like Tany did on her version - thanks for those ideas Tany!

By the way, this is View B - the super long fronts with the 3/4 sleeves.

Conclusion
A winner! I love the versatility. Mary Beth, are you still up for a cardigan sew along? Because I will definitely be making another one of these.

I'm in love with the cozy, too! Definetly going to make one! Yours is looking great! It's the perfect fabric and a nice color for this style!

I have patterns for two versions of this one, and I keep feeling that it won't work on my body. You look fabulous in this, but you are a lot slimmer than I, and not pear shaped.

I just watched the video, and it seems that the DKNY cozy is squared off. My Vogue version has a large curve from side to longer fronts. How is the Simplicity one shaped?

This cardigan is already on my list of must-haves for fall. I love your version - thanks for reminding me to get going on this project!

I have the same fabric in both nude and charcoal but was going to make it in a rayon knit I bought locally. Is the Luxe fabric too slippery to tie up? Mine is really "slick." I'm so glad this version of the cardi wrap is good, the McCall's version is horrible which I made last year.

I have that pattern and I think it's time to make it up! Fabric.com still has some navy left; I think I'll click over there and buy some. You look great in all the combinations!

I really like this on you and everyone else but still worry about how it would look on me. Too much fabric in the front on me?

BTW, I had lunch with Adriana and her daughter yesterday in NYC. She mentioned she had met you in person.

This is fabulous. I love how you've wrapped it up -- looks like a good summer coverup. I've a question for you about wearing it without any wrapping, do the long lengths in front get caught around your legs when you walk?

I love this too! I have just made the shorter version in red with the long sleeves and wasn't going to make another one - however, seeing you in yours I think I will! The long version looks more versatile than the short one which can't be worn in as many ways as the fronts are shorter. Great colour!

I love when you make a non-Burda pattern! I'm still too scared of them but with this Simplicity I can totally see what this will look like on me before I make it since we're the same size. Thanks!

Love your COSY. I made one last year out of some really inexpensive but nice ribbed knit fabric I found at Walmart. Thanks for sharing the video - gives me extra possibilities.

I predict a cozy craze this fall. Or, as a Brit I should say "a cosy craze this autumn". Your cozy looks great in all it's variations.

This is brilliant! I think I have seen this pattern before but the apricot color made me overlook it, but now that I have seen your version, I am totally in love.
