Forgetful

Argh, I had a post all drafted to put up this evening now that I've got my "photo shoot" done, but I just realized that the post is saved on another computer that I don't have access to right now! Rather than writing it all again, you'll get my weekend sewing update on Tuesday...

And with the days getting shorter, I'm finding it hard to take good photographs anytime except the weekend. On weekdays, there just isn't much natural light when I get home. The lights in my house seem so yellow in the photos, but I hate the way the flash makes things look. Maybe it's time to research other cameras. Plus, I've been trying to use my camera's self-timer more often instead of waiting for DH; this presents its own challenges (as Isabelle can attest)!

Until tomorrow...

I can't wait to see! Sounds like you had a much more productive weekend than I did (didn't do squat).

Ack! I know what you mean Christina! Taking good pictures in winter is a real challenge.
Can't wait to see your latest work.

Truth be told....I only take pictures on the weekend! And it has to be between 10:00 and 12:00pm, because that when the sun shines in my apt.

I wasn't thinking about getting a new camera...but I was thinking about getting one of those aluminium disks I see them use on ANTM to reflect light lol. But that would probably be alot funnier to watch me use than it would be useful.

taking photos with the self-timer is really tough - that's how I take all of my photos as DH thinks all the photos I want for my blog and PR are unnecessary. My sewing room has a daylight bulb installed in it so most of my photos are taken in that room Plus I hang out there in the winter to get my sunshine fix!

I take my photos with a self timer and tripod. But, I'm thinking of of a fabric moratorium and saving for a Digital SLR. My old camera was a film SLR with a remote. Heaven. Except waiting for the photos to come back kind of blew!
