Ahoy! Ship to set sail soon.

I finally finished up my Ahoy There sailor pants muslin using a custom size pattern from printsew.com. I was happily surprised when the pants fit quite nicely! (Marie Claude had the same nice fit with her custom Ahoy pattern, too.) At least nice enough for me to feel comfortable purchasing 3 yards of navy linen fabric this week, something with a bit of stretch, as the thighs & hips fit just snug enough to want that 5-10% leeway.

The pant legs are quite interesting. I like that the back is longer than the front, as you can see in the (unhemmed right leg) photo above, although I may reduce that 3" difference to something more like 1.5" in case I want to wear these with flats. Also, the hem is 30" around at the bottom. Very swingy! I'm still deciding if I'm going to keep this as drafted or reduce the swing a bit...
