My house has more of a 'wilderness' theme happening....
I got my Smart Car today! After a year of waiting. US deliveries started in January 2008 and finally our number was up. Okay, I guess it's "our" car. Tim will drive it to work every day and I'll continue to commute to work by bus, since I get a free bus pass through my job and there is a route that is practically door to door for me. But still!
Parking in Seattle should be much easier now...
congrats on the new car!
ReplyDeletecongrats!!!!
ReplyDeleteFab! I think smart cars are so cute and so - well, smart!
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not orange like the one in my parking garage. Well, I don't love the look of them, but they certainly make a lot of sense. Congrats on your new car!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh! I want one! Congrats on your new car.
ReplyDeleteCarlaF
Yay! Double Yay!
ReplyDeleteAren't you going to look so ever European! I don't think it will be long before we see a lot more of these on our roads. In Europe all you see are smart cars, scooters, and motorcycles and the latter are parked all over sidewalks etc... Never SUVs and certainly no Hummers. Gas has been sky high over there for years; we're just finally getting a taste of it here. As for parking, you're going to be the envy of a lot of people!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new car! I remember how our American friends were very amused by those "toy cars" back in 2001 when they saw them here in Berlin. Well, times sure change :-)
ReplyDeleteBeatrice in Germany
Congratulations! it looks wonderfully non-thirsty!
ReplyDeleteComing from a family that has to Try On cars (my husband is 6'4", I can't even get him into a small sedan...it would be funny to see him try and fit in one of these.....he will not give up his Tahoe for anything...sigh
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous car and you are right on trend as always! We are starting to see more and more of these in the suburban NYC areas.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! The Smart Car has been my Dream Car since our trip to Europe 3 years ago. Have fun!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI saw these all over Italy. You should be proud of yourself for reducing your impact on the planet and looking so European chic while doing it.
ReplyDeleteYes!!!! Congrats, I can already see your husband sitting in the passenger seat with piles of fabric on his lap. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I saw my first one of these in our fair city (Athens, Georgia) yesterday. I hope to see many more and one in my own driveway would not be unwelcome.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the car! It's so cute! Now whenever I see one around town, I'll wonder if it's you ;)
ReplyDeleteso cute!! That will make getting around in seattle SO much more fun! I love it, and am rather envious. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the car! How many kids can actually fit in the back--2 or possibly 3?
ReplyDeletecolour by number - Well, technically none since it's a 2-seater, but there is cargo space for groceries, etc, so depending how big they are... LOL (BTW - I tried to email you but my message was rejected...)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteSaw my first smart car in Vancouver last spring. Thought it was, well, very smart looking! But the mileage, TDF these days. Good going! Even an orange one is soooo *green*.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteOh, you will love it! I have had my wee smartie for almost a year now and she is just wonderful! Mine is multi coloured and the kids just love it. Best wishes, Mary Anne (Scotland)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your Smart Car.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of that car Jane Jetson wanted that would transform into a compact she could put in her purse. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteVery cool, congrats on your new car! :-)
ReplyDeleteI actually just saw my first Smart Car up close going down Broadway in NYC yesterday... my first instinct was that it was just my size for putt-putting around the city... Nice!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I drove one of those some time ago and loved it!
ReplyDeleteI saw these all over Germany last year and then again in an expo in Montreal. Love the car! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCute car! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI have loved the Smart since I first saw it in Austria when I was working with Swarovski. I would love to get one, but they don't yet make a convertible. ;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous things....they do make a convertible smart car! They lady I bought mine from had just bought a yellow convertible one!! It was fantastic looking.
ReplyDeleteMary Anne
We just bought a Yaris because it was available on a lot locally. And I drove an Insight hybrid for 4 years but it proved to be too lightweight to drive in storms. I loved getting 60 MPG! So now that these are becoming available in US the SMART car is on my list of things to save for. Congratulations on your new baby.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I love the Smart Car. I want to get one so bad but it doesn't work for my family of 3. I told my son we could strap him to the top like luggage.
ReplyDeleteI bet you must be loving it already! I have one since 2001 and it has been the best ever!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
