Three months is just not enough. How come it's not more than that in the US... I took a year and a half, the maximum leave I could take and have my job back, but the last three months were unpaid, but my husband could handle it. It's just not fair for US moms! I mean at three months, as a mom, you're still not sleeping through the night! And if you want to breastfeed at least six months, which is better for your kid, it's too much of hassle to start pumping your breast for milk, when you don't even have time... And there's so much you won't get to see the first time...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363921935422034605.post-77571660230968149342010-09-24T12:07:37.645-07:002010-09-24T12:07:37.645-07:00Oh she's gorgeous! (With exceptions :) ) I can't imagine having 2 cry-babies! I have a year paid leave from work (getting 67% of my last income) and will stay at home for 15 months. Paying a nanny would cost more, than I would earn.... Sewing is just not happening, I'm happy if I can knit a few stitches in front of the tv in the evening. We cook at the weekends and freeze some of it, so I can have some warm food during the week :)<br />LM is adorable. I had to go back to work 8 weeks after all of my kids were born and I had a very difficult time with my firstborn. He was a cranky little stinker and my (now ex) husband was very little help to me. Sometimes I wish I could do it over again (minus the ex) and try to enjoy it more! But I do know that it won't be long before you'll be sewing again and there's nothing quite as fun as sewing for little girls, that much I know!laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17174697892947430149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363921935422034605.post-48823995019755325192010-09-12T13:54:43.895-07:002010-09-12T13:54:43.895-07:00She's a doll! She's a doll!Linda Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12655695696943452993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363921935422034605.post-29844323831491348062010-09-11T15:10:43.222-07:002010-09-11T15:10:43.222-07:00Congratulations.
